World Record Breaking Travel Destinations

Any place can be incredible, but some have that very, very special something. And we mean world record breaking something. Today we want to talk about a few of the world breaking destinations from all around the World!

 

Smalles Country

This title goes to the Holy See – The State of Vatican City. It is located in Rome and takes up the area of only 0.44 square kilometres. However entering the country is not easy, because The Vatican is not open to tourists. The only parts tourists can visit are the Vatican Museums and St Peter’s Basilica. You can also go on a guided tour of some gardens.

 

The Narrowest Street

If you’re any like us you love tiny little streets where you can get wonderfully lost, but the Spreuerhofstrasse in Reutlingen, Germany, may be to little, even for us. Only a foot wide at its narrowest point it is rather a dificult path to take!

 

Oldest Restaurant

We can’t forget about food. Restaurante Botin is the world’s oldest restaurant and it is located in Madrid, Spain. It has been open since 1725. It still has the original interiors and an abdolutely wonderful vibe to it. A must-see for all the food lovers out there!

 

Oldest National Park

The Yellowstone Park is the first place to be given such a name. The park’s birthday go all the way back to the 1872. Not only a home to many animals and plants species it also has some of the most wonderful views such as canyons, forests, hot springs, geysers and alpine rivers. Definitely a perfect place to be the first of its kind!

 

Oldest Amusement Park

Located in Klampenborg, Denmark, the Bakken Amusement Park opened in 1583 and is still functional and open for visitors today! The park includes over 150 attractions and is not only a perfect place to spend your weekend at, but also at the same time a historical site.

 

Tallest Hotel

This name goes to Dubai’s JW Marriott Marquis Hotel. It is 1165.84 feet high and has two towers that reach 72 floors. There is actually a bar at the top of the hotel, where you can admire the stunning views of the city. An incredible place, where you can almost literally touch the sky!

 

Tallest Waterfall

Everybody has heard about the Niagara Falls, but you may want to Angel Falls in Venezuela for truly spectacular views. Surrounded by the rainforest this masterpiece of nature is sure to leave you absolutely breathless!
