The Phocuswright Conference

World Travel Market
World Travel Market is a series of events taking place in six different locations on four continents. The original show first took place in London in 1980. It has been held annually ever since. Other events are the WTM Africa, WTM Latin America, ATM (for the Middle East market), WTM Responsible Tourism and Travel Forward. WTM also holds International Travel & Tourism Awards.

When at ITB you can see various destinations, get to know their culture and traditions. There are dance shows, people performing many types of crafts, colourful exhibitions and much more. On top of that, companies from the travel and hospitality industries have their own stands there, making it easier for both customers and professionals to learn more about the products they are interested in.
The ITB Buyers Circle is also an exclusive place for top buyers to meet, interact during the speed networking sessions and discuss current trends.
The Tourism Trade Fair – FITUR is a global gathering of the travel industry professionals and a principal trade for the Ibero American markets. It takes place annually in Madrid, Spain.
Every year thousands of companies from over 150 countries exhibitions their products and services at the fair. At the same time over 200,000 participants, journalists and visitors can visit those exhibitions, interact with each other, access trade information regarding the tourist market, get networking opportunities and arrange business meetings.
At the beginning of February, the BIT International Travel Exhibition takes places in Milan. Even is organized by Fiera Milano since 1980. Recently a new format of the exhibition was made official. The first day of the event will now be open to the public, while the next days the industry professionals and buyers only will have the access to the venue.
For nearly forty years BIT was one of the largest travel exhibitions in Italy. IT creates the perfect environment for the industry experts, representatives of companies and buyers to meet, exchange ideas and close substantial deals. The buyers are carefully selected and profiled.
An event is also the place of many conferences and seminars. During hours of lectures, people from all sectors of the industry discuss current trends in travel.
MATKA Nordik Travel Fair
As the largest travel industry event in the Northern Europe, MATKA Nordik Travel Fair had to make it onto the list. The annual fair takes place in January at Messukeskus Helsinki in Finland.
Over 50,000 visitors come to the fair, including the industry professionals and the general public. They come to see over 1,000 exhibitors from 80 different countries. The professionals have the priority, with the first day of the event being open for them only. The other visitors come in the following day.
The East Mediterranean International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (EMITT) takes place each year in Istanbul. Organized by the ITE Group, it is one the top five tourism events in the World.
The exhibition hosts a large number of foreign tourism professionals, including nearly 5,000 companies. The exhibition is oriented towards tourism professionals and holiday consumers and raises a great interest all around the World. Thousands of appointments take place throughout it each year.
This year over 1,000 professionals from the industry came to the event in order to discuss current issues and exchange ideas and contacts.
Uzakrota Travel Summit
The Uzakrota Travel Summit in Istanbul is one of the biggest travel industry events in Turkey. During the summit more than 1,500 industry professionals get a chance to listen to 70 speakers in 5 different halls talk about current issues in the travel sector.
Topics discussed at the conference included the state of different branches of the industry, observed trends, PR and Marketing, globalization, technology, AI, and of course, online platforms.
Apart from the EMITT, it is one of the largest travel summits in this part of the globe.
We cannot mention the travel industry events without mentioning Skift Global Forum. It is not so much an event for the hoteliers and traders or buyers, as it is the go-to place for the marketing specialists within the industry.
Skift is one of the most popular media companies providing information and research of the travel industry. The Skift conferences are the most important events with the main focus on Marketers and Strategists. It offers various networking sessions, panels and workshops to the professionals interested in the current trends within the market.
I Meet Hotel
