The One Castle Everybody Knows
Every castle is beautiful and interesting in its own way. There are thousands of them all around the globe, but there is one castle in the World that almost everybody recognizes, the Neuschwanstein Castle. But why does everybody know it (you as well, even if you don’t realize it yet) and what is the history behind it? On today’s blog we will answer those questions! First things first. The Neuschwanstein is located in the Hohenschwangau district of the Schwangau commune in Bavaria, Germany. Created in the 1869 as an idealized medieval castle for the bavarian king Ludwig II it definitely was a goal reached. The project of three architects – Christian Jank, Eduard Riedel and Georg von Dollmann turned into reality was more then the king Ludwig has expected. Unfortunately he couldn’t enjoy the castle, since he died a few months before its completion.
