Top 10 Warm Winter Destinations

Winter destinations

Spring is just around the corner but in some places of the World, the winter just won’t go away. While it is always fun to play in the snow, we wanted to help out those of you who are not so fond of the cold. Here are a few winter destinations where you can escape the cold!

Costa Tropical

The name says it all. Located on the Mediterranean coast of the country it is one of the warmest places of Spain during the winter time. Costa Tropical is known for some of the most beautiful beaches with blue waters and gorgeous mountains rising up from the sea. Thanks to a very forgiving climate it is perfect for outdoor sports.
And what if you get bored of the water? The historical cities of Granada and Malaga are right around the corner to make the time spent in the area that much special.

Great Barrier Reef

Australia is known for its warm climate and due to its location in the southern hemisphere, this time of the year is actually an Australian summer. And what better to do in the summer then dive in a crystal clear water of the Great Barrier Reef – the largest coral reef system in the world. With the temperatures rising up to 30 degrees Celcius you are sure to get a nice tan to make your friends jealous 😉 Not to mention the memories of seeing some of the world’s most beautiful fish!

Vietnam

March and April are considered to be the best months to travel to Vietnam. All you have to do is choose between the south with its gorgeous beaches of Phu Quoc or Nha Trang and the slightly colder north with some of the most beautiful sightseeing destinations such as Sopa with green mountains and striking terraced fields or the capital and as such a political and cultural centre of the country – Hanoi.

Miami

The average temperature in March reaches there around 22 degrees Celcius. Sounds good, doesn’t it? And the warmth is not the only thing the city has to offer.
We’re sure that most of you have already thought about visiting the famous Miami Beach, a place perfect for sunbathing during the day and even better for going out at night! And what sounds better than strolling down the Lincoln Road?
Don’t worry nature lovers – the area offers something for you as well, since the nearby Everglades National Park is the country’s biggest tropical wilderness.

Brazil

Give your life some colours and visit the country known for its Carnival! Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo are perfect to visit during this time of the year – one known for its relaxed vibe, incredible beaches and some of the worlds most amazing tourist attractions and the other one perfect for the people who love quick pace and a crazy nightlife.
You can also try something else and head towards Minas Gerais where you can experience slightly more native vibes.
For the adventure seekers, there’s always the Amazon Rain Forest but we would advise you to wait a few months before going on such a trip (the rain right now could be too much even for advanced hikers).

Cambodia

With its beautiful sceneries and warm climate Cambodia is definitely one of the best places to visit during upcoming months. Enjoy the sunny beaches but don’t forget to explore the world’s largest religious monument (as well as Cambodia’s most known tourist attraction) – the Angkor Wat, but also the less known destinations such as the city of Battambang where the French Colonial architecture and nearby rice fields are sure to give you the experience of a lifetime. While you’re there make sure to rent a bike and just enjoy the ride!

Jamaica

The home of Bob Marley is simply stunning. With the temperatures right now rising up to 35 degrees Celcius we don’t think we need to convince you that it is one of the best destinations for this period of time. Its beaches with white sand and turquoise water are some of the best in the world. The country’s tropical climate creates a wonderful ecosystem and there are only a few places as beautiful as the Blue Mountains.
What else? Probably the best thing about the country – the positive attitude of Jamaican people.
And just wait until you see the sunsets – you may fall in love. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Republic of South Africa

Speaking of wildlife we couldn’t exclude Africa. We chose the Republic of South Africa because of a few reasons.
Firstly, of course, the beaches. With one part of its coastline touching the Indian Ocean and the other one the Atlantic you are sure to enjoy it.
Secondly, nature. We cannot stretch how many beautiful animals call South Africa their home. If you ever dreamt of going on a safari this might be the perfect time to give it a try.
Lastly one of the most important areas of the country is a “Cradle of Humankind” – a place with 13 explored fossil sites, that anybody who wants to know how everything started for the humans simply must visit.
Without a doubt, the Republic of South Africa is a very strong position on our list.

Cancún

This city in Mexico is known for being a destination for the tourists craving the sun. At the moment it is the most luxurious resort in the country. The sun, the sand, and the palm trees – that is the easiest way to describe this beautiful city. There is a reason why so many people visit it each year, no matter the season. But Cancún has more to offer than just possibility to sunbathe and do some snorkelling. Some gorgeous Mayan ruins such as El Rey or Chichen Itza can be found nearby. If that doesn’t convince you – we don’t know what will.

Havana

The capital of Cuba and the largest port in the region is a place everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. The weather is amazing and the city is extremely vibrant. The Old Havana with the stunning Plaza de la Catedral, the museums, the palaces, the squares, the harbour – the list is never-ending. And of course – the beach. It is a perfect mixture of culture and fun. The city that gives an impression of an old postcard will be your own beautiful time machine.
